Armored Core | personal project

Armored Core title screen

I revived an old project and did some scene exploration that turned into a faux Armored Core title screen. It was the most fun I’ve had in a very long time; finally reconnected a bit with that creative flow state. Project Phantasma was my first Armored Core game and I’ve been a fan Raven ever since.

I picked up the collector’s edition of Fires of Rubicon when it came out and 3D scanned the Raven figure to experiment with @lumalabsai photogrammetry features on their iPhone app. It worked pretty well at the time (2023) and is way more advanced now.

I also created an alt version that included a fictional UI based on the minimalist one in Fires of Rubicon. I liked exploring that look, but ultimately felt like it detracted from the immersion of the shot and scenery—like placing a barrier between the viewer and the vision of stark aftermath at sunset.
